This design was conceptualized for a carnival event hosted by UC Davis Student Housing. Because UC Davis is a school heavily saturated with engineering and science degrees, the idea was to bring an engineering aspect to the promotion of the even to appeal to more students who may not have been initially interested. It was used for flyers, shirts, and promotional materials.

This design was used to advertise the Student Housing Winter Formal for the year 2013. The theme of the event was Harry Potter. I was asked by the planning committee to design something that would evoke a sense of Harry Potter, without limiting the theme to Harry Potter exclusively. I used an illustration of the Hogwarts castle to create a feeling of mystery and magic without making it exclusively a Harry Potter event.
